Florian Jozefzoon can't wait for the new season to start in less than ten days' time and is delighted to be part of Brentford's hard-working squad.

The Bees won 3-2 at Milton Keynes Dons on Tuesday evening, and the winger looks set to get game time again when his side face Celta Vigo at the weekend.

Jozefzoon spoke to Get West London post-match the stadium:mk to give his thoughts on pre-season and the desire shown from everyone in the squad.

"We have made good signings for us - they can adapt to the style we want to play," he said.

"We have a good group, a competitive group. It doesn't matter who plays, we have a good work ethic and that's important.

"We want it to be this like this, as we want to grow, to grow as a football team, as players, to get better.

"If it means it gives the manager a selection headache, that means we're doing our jobs.

"I do wish the start of the season was now. Pre-season has been good but it's been four weeks and we're eager to start.

"It's good we feel like we want to start but does give us a chance to get the mistakes out of the way now.

"We're getting better and prepared for the first game."

Commenting on the friendly Celta Vigo, who impressed immensely in the Europa League last season, Jozefzoon only cares about what he and his team-mates do.

He said: "It depends what Celta are going to do with their starting XI, whether they play a B team against us and that will also be a test for us.

"But we have to concentrate on what we want to do in our team, look at how we want to play and press how we want to press."
