MIDDLESEX CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION THREE
West Harrow 350-8
GWR 39 all out
West Harrow won by 311 runs
RED-HOT Imran Muhammed starred with the ball as West Harrow recorded one of their biggest ever victories on Saturday.
Muhammed claimed eight wickets as the table-toppers thrashed GWR by a massive 311-run winning margin.
Batting first on a dry wicket and fast outfield, West Harrow dropped three early wickets and looked to be heading for a low total, but then Amit Shah (75) and Vrushant Patel, with a glorious 130, took the game away from GWR.
Further down the order, Dushyant Chavda’s hard-hitting 53 not out saw West Harrow post a formidable total of 350-8.
In reply, a deflated GWR were soon in trouble against the pace and accuracy of Muhammed, who took 8-20 in 12 overs as GWR were all out for just 39.
West Harrow seconds picked up their second league win of the season on Saturday at home to Kensington & Chelsea.
Vikas Patel, who finished on 4-41, took a wicket with the first ball of the match to give West Harrow a dream start.
And when the second fell, off the bowling of Ashish Parmar, with the first ball of the next over, West Harrow knew it would be their day.
K&C were all out for 117 and the total was surpassed for the loss of six wickets.
Meanwhile, the U10s finished their league season with a win over Lohana last week.
The stand-out performers with the bat were Kael Shah (25 not out), Niraan Shah (20) and Karan Zakharia (12) while with the ball, Niraan Shah (1-9) and Shakil Jamani (1-6) shone.
