Wembley suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday (24) when they lost by four wickets at home to Acton in Division Two of the Middlesex County League.

After winning the toss, Wembley skipper Alex Greig elected to bat first and the home innings was dominated by an excellent knock from Adrian Green.

He scored a hugely impressive 139 not out as Wembley scored a good 231 for five from 51 overs.

However, it was not enough to deter the visitors.

With Ghunra hitting an unbeaten 70 and Donovan Fyfe scoring 53, Acton clawed their way towards the target and they made it with just over three overs to spare and with four wickets still intact.

Defeat sent Wembley tunmbling from second place to sixth in the Division Two table, with Acton leaping up to second spot.

Wembley will be looking to get back to winning ways this Saturday when they visit South Hampstead.
