The opening weekend of cricket saw Uxbridge get off to a flying start as they recorded victory in their Middlesex Division Two fixture.

After bowling Harrow all out for 129, the away side raced to 132-4 off just 28.2 overs with Ronald Etienne top scoring with 63 not out.

In the same division, Eastcote drew their opening fixture at home to Brentham, Chris James top scoring with 87 for the home side.

Northwood beat Holtwhite Trinibis by 25 runs as they set a target of 219 from their 50 overs.

Neil Sargeant top scored for Northwood with 68 runs.

Both Northwood Town and Harefield lost their opening fixtures, losing to Stevenage II by 14 runs and Slough by 19 runs respectively.

Meanwhile, Katharine Bowkers excellent figures of 5-35 were not enough to see an injury-hit Ickenham ladies to victory as they lost by 120 runs at Shepperton.
