Harrow St Mary's lost to Edmonton by 152 runs
THE old saying that catches win matches rang true for the Saints after several spillages in the field let Edmonton off the hook and on their way to victory.
Several balls were spilled as Edmonton constantly rode their luck before declaring on 291 for five after 48 overs.
Alvin Soosay was Saints' best bowler, with figures of three for 64.
Harrow's batting matched their inept fielding display as they crumbled for 139, with only Nishil Patel (34) and Charith Gunasekera (40) offering any resistance. The first team then took on Wisborough Green in their regular annual fixture, but their target of 155 all out was easily chased down by the Sussex side for two wickets.
Saint's second XI lost to North London by eight runs but will have been pleased by the emergence of colt Brandon Lewis.
He took five for 20 as the capital side fell for 152, but his teammates, requiring 20 runs to win and with six wickets in hand, handed the win to North London.
