RANJIT Bagwe played the star role for Pinner on Saturday as their victory over neighbours West Harrow put them in the Middlesex Championship Division Two promotion frame.

Batting first, West Harrow looked well set at 83 for one but the nagging line and length of Sy Balendran (3-33) and the spin of Bagwe (5-31) then saw them crash to 139 all out.

Despite losing an early wicket in their reply, Spencer (21), Thakker (22) and Kumar (22 not out) kept the scoreboard ticking over.

And with man of the match Bagwe making a stylish 63 not out, Pinner cruised to a seven wicket victory.
