Middlesex spinner Shaun Udal is out of action after picking up a knee injury in their Twenty20 Cup quarter-final win over Lancashire on Tuesday.
Udal is likely to be out for a week to 10 days and misses the four-day County Championship match with Gloucestershire which starts at Bristol today (Friday).
He will also be doubtful for the Championship clash with Warwickshire at Uxbridge, which starts next Wednesday (July 17) at Park Road.
Young batting sensation Dawid Malan will be looking to continue his fine recent form against Gloucestershire as Middlesex look to maintain their promotion challenge at Bristol.
