Northwood Town formally closed a successful 2008 season with their AGM and set their sights on improving on their seventh place finish in Hertfordshire Division Two this year.
Raj Ahluwalia will again skipper the first XI with vice captain Rohan Lee and Adam Hills takes charge of the second team with assistance from Ben Rawson-Jones.
Dave Harding won the HW Hayne award for being the Clubman of the Year for his staunch work as pavilion manager while Peter Spencer retired his position on the committee after a remarkable 55-year consecutive run, his 60th year in total.
Spencer and his wife Jane were awarded the Chairman's award for their magnificent service and events will be held throughout 2009 to celebrate their achievement.
