Middlesex Championship Division One

Perivale Phonecians 103 all out

Wycombe House 105-5

Wycombe House won by five wickets

Having helped the groundsman get the pitch ready for play following early morning heavy rain, skipper Alex Thamby then guided Wycombe House back to the top of the table.

Thamby took four Perivale wickets, with Hassan Shah also picking up one, before the spinners came in, and Sohail Elahi also claimed the scalps before Shah was brought back to mop up the tail with the final two wickets.

Chasing 103, House lost a couple of early wickets, which brought little Savin Perera to the crease, and the 14 year old showed the older heads how to bat with patience and composure. He was there until the end with an unbeaten 34, while debutant Hassan Hanif knocked off the winning runs as House won by five wickets.
