RUTHLESS West Harrow chalked up the first win of the season in style at the weekend.

West Harrow recorded a seven-wicket victory over Three Bridges to move up to sixth in the table.

Bowling first, Roonesh Gudhka ran the show for West Harrow and ran riot with a stunning six wicket haul at the expense of just 27 runs.

Humayun Wassim also looked in the mood and finished with figures of 3-40 as Ealing were dismissed for 148 in 39 overs.

West Harrow made the run chase look easy as they cruised to 149-3 in just 31 overs, mainly thanks to Salman Haroon’s undefeated on 76 and Vipul Parmar’s unbeaten 22.

There was no such luck for West Harrow seconds as they were off-colour and defeated at home by Ealing Three Bridges seconds.

Losing the toss and being put into bat they were soon in trouble at 42-6.

A mini-recovery was led by Jignesh Pancholi (32) and Natu Patel (19) put on a partnership of 60 for the seventh wicket.

But the last four tumbled for just nine runs as West Harrow were bowled out for 111 in 45 overs.

Ealing were never really put under any pressure in reply and reached the target in just under 20 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Elsehwere, West Harrow Sundays made it three wins out of four in the league in a high scoring match at home to Anson.

Ramya Upadhyay scored a classy 118 not out as West Harrow finished 242-5 in 40 overs.

Vrushant Patel took 4-37 as Anson fell 30 runs short of the target, ending on 212 all out.
