Former Eastcote batsman Adam Rossington has signed a new two year deal to keep him at Middlesex CCC until the 2015 season.

Twenty-year-old Rossington has been with Middlesex since 2011 after starting out at Eastcote, and has since featured in more than thirty 1st XI matches.

He will be looking to add to a record which last season saw him rack up 321 runs in the Friends Life t20 and Yorkshire Bank 40 competitions, with an average of 32.1 and a strike rate of more than 100.

Other notable statistics include a maiden first class hundred against Cambridge University in which he moved from 50 to 100 in just 12 balls, and a 2nd XI totalling more than 1000 last season.

Middlesex Managing Director Angus Fraser was optimistic about Rossington’s immediate future with the club: “Adam is one of the most exciting young cricketers in the country and we are delighted he has signed a new deal.”

In looking ahead to next season Fraser remarked: “In 2014 Adam has the opportunity to push for and claim a place in our 1st XI in all forms of the game.

Also signing an extension until 2015 was batsman Sam Robson who will be hoping to add to the 4000 1st class runs he has notched up in five years with Middlesex.

This summer Robson was rewarded for some exceptional performances, which included 1180 1st class runs, with a call up to the England Performance Programme which leaves for Australia next week.
