Osterley 95 all out Pinner 96-2 Pinner won by eight wickets

SEERNAAB Khan produced a magical spell of spin as Pinner swept aside reigning champions Osterley on Saturday.

Khan bowled unchanged for 21 overs, bamboozling the hosts with his slow bowling armoury to take 5-22 as Osterley were bundled out for just 95.

It was Pinner's fourth win on the trot and lifts them to third place in a debut season in Division One which just seems to get better and better.

Khan was backed up superbly by fellow spinners Bhavik Thakkar (3-5) and Ranjit Bagwe (2-23).

The weather did its best to rob the visitors of victory, with rain twice interrupting their run chase. But with John Spencer (28) and Raj Puranik (27) both scoring quickly and Hammed Mohammed weighing in with 31 not out, Pinner sprinted home in just 19.3 overs.

A blistering display of hitting from Vidhal Trivedi carried the seconds to an unlikely victory at home to Old Lyonians.

With his team struggling at 113-5 in pursuit of 205 to win, Trivedi (96 not out) and Waldo Oosthuizen hit 92 in 12 overs to see Pinner home.
