A POOR performance from Pinner in the Middlesex Championship Division two saw them slump to a 140-run defeat at the hands of Old Actonians.

The visitors Puranik (74) and hard-hitting Satter (60) helped their side reach 234 all out in 55 overs.

Ranjit Bagwe (4-50) was the pick of the bowlers and was well supported by Bhavik Thakker (2-33) and Laurence Schreiber (2-44).

In reply only Sagar Panaskar (29) offered much resistance as Pinner were destroyed by Mohammed (7-44) and Jonar (3-35) limiting them to a disappointing 94 all out.

The second side were unlucky not to win away to Old Lyonians. Wiggins

Hippolyte (45) and Rumi Cassim (35) moved the run rate along with the help of an unbeaten 26 from Adam Rissen, which gave Pinner a decent total of 196 for 9.

Chintal Parikh (3-18) Rissen (2-28) and Mark Amedee (2-20) took the bowling honours as Old Lyonians scored 123 for 8 clinching the draw.

On Sunday local rivals Hatch End stormed to a comprehensive seven-wicket victory at Pinner.

Phil Roberts (35) and Andy Rayment (32) saw Pinner to 147 all out, which Hatch End reached comfortably thanks to Zaman Mudassar (73 not out) and an unbeaten 25 from skipper Mike Sherman.
