PINNER got back to winning ways at the weekend, maintaining their push for promotion.

Batting first Pinner were dismissed for 150 as only Norman Williams (54) and Hamish Kumar (50) came to terms with the rain affected wicket.

Needing a win to get back into the promotion frame Pinner did just that, with Sachin Hedge (3 for 25), Lawrence Schreiler (2 for 15) and Niroshan Rajadurai (2 for 8) restricting the home side to 93 all out, handing Pinner a much needed 57 run win.

The seconds edged out Perivale Phoenicians in a closely fought game by just four runs in the final over.

Bhavik Thakker proved to be the difference, scoring 65 before taking 5 for 15.

Pinner were dismissed for 129 and at one stage looked set to lose the match as the visitors raced to 89 for 4. But they pegged them back and dismiised Phoenicians for 125.

On Sunday, Uxbridge scored 184 for 6 at Pinner, the bowling honours going to Niroshan Rajadurai (3 for 61) and Waldo Oosthuizen (2 for 27).

Norman Williams (31) and Ankur Amber Kar (56) put on 86 for the first wicket but the side collapsed to 144.
