HARROW St Mary's U10 As needed the heroics of their stand-in skipper Daniel Murphy to maintain their 100 per cent record in the North Area section of the Gubby Allen Trophy.

Murphy smashed a four off the last ball of the game to ensure that Saints beat Stanmore A by three runs in an incredibly tight game.

The U10 Bs were less successful as they succumbed to a heavy defeat by OMT. The constant loss of wickets, which are penalised by the loss of five runs at this age, proved crucial as OMT won by 67 runs.

The U11s secured their largest win of the season when they comprehensively beat GB Sports by 166 runs. Batting first, Saints scored a season best 190 for two off their 20 overs, with Kushal Patel and Nikhil Rawal both retiring when they reached their half centuries.

In reply, the pace duo of Amar Dave and Deven Patel tore into GB Sports and left them reeling at 13 for seven before GB were skittled out for 24. Dave recorded season best figures of four for two and Patel two for eight.

The U13 As were awarded a win when GB Sports were unable to raise a team. The Bs beat OMTs decisively by seven wickets. OMT were all out for 78, with Niraj Jasraj taking three for 11. In reply HSM scored 79 for three, with V Laith (29) and Patrick Ramautor (16*) topping the scoring charts.

The U15 As were humiliatingly hammered by Eastcote by 10 wickets, the first time Eastcote have beaten HSM at this age group. Saints were unable to field eleven players and the young side scored a paltry 60-7 before the team ran out of batsmen.
