NISHIL Patel (62), Sanjeewa Jayaratne (53), Tony Wright (36) and colt Jaimit Patel (32) were all in fine form with the bat for Harrow St Mary's on Saturday as they reached 232 all out against MTCC.

The visitors got off to a flying start in reply, with their openers hitting 72 before the loss of their first wicket.

However, despite the Saints' opening bowler Jayaratne being hampered by an injury, forcing him to bowl spin as opposed to his normal medium pace, the all-rounder ploughed through the opposition batsmen taking 5-60.

Unfortunatley, it was still not enough for them to claim their first victory of the season as the game ended in a draw with the visitors posting 184 for seven.

HSM's second team were beaten comfortably by MTCC after a batting collapse saw the Saints lose their last five wickets for just five runs.

A half century from Kunj Thakkar (54) was well supported by colt Robin Soosay (24) and captain Ian Ridley (21) for a score of 159 all out.

Spinner Farhan Mujib (4-54) had some success with the ball but it was not enough to stop the visitors reaching the target, eight wickets down.

On Sunday Tony Wright (53), Charith Gunasekera (39) and Prakash Kotecha (30) helped HSM to 180 for nine in 40 overs, which was reached by MTCC with 10 overs to spare.
