GLEBE school edged out rivals Cedars in a closely-fought tie to lay claim to this year's mixed year seven kwik cricket competition.

Although the sides were victorious in one game each of the two-match final, when the scores were tallied up Glebe ran out winners by just eight runs.

Cedars took the spoils in the first fixture hitting 220, nine more than Glebe, but the second saw a reverse result with Glebe edging it 270 to 253.

The additional runs in the second game proved pivotal as the side claimed a 281- 273 victory.

The competition took place at the Old Lyonians Sports Ground in Pinner View, Harrow, and will return next year.
