FATHER and son duo Mark and Mitchell Osbon rescued Bedfont 62's innings as they beat Iver Heath on Sunday.

Bedfont got off to the worst possible start, with one of their openers falling for a golden duck to the match's first ball. Wickets tumbled and Bedfont crumbled to 36-5 before Mark Osbon's unbeaten 42 and son Mitchell's rapid 43 repaired the damage to leave them on 124-9.

And another family duo, brothers Andy and James Sutton, finished off the job, taking 5-21 and 2-14 respectively. Nick Beard also took 2-12 as Bedfont bowled out Iver for 69 to win by 55 runs.

It made up for the previous day's dismal defeat at West Wycombe, who won by 112 runs after Bedfont chalked up just 41 runs in reply to their hosts' 153-6.

They were in trouble from the outset, losing their first three batsmen for a single run. Mark Osbon, who earlier took 3-21, grabbed 14, but 'extras' top-scored (17).
