Harrow Town drew with Wycombe House

ABID Javed can feel aggrieved for not being on the winning side after a fine individual performance for Town.

He struck 69 as Harrow amassed 280 for five off 43 overs, with Victor Jadunath (67) and Tyron Tipali (78) also making notable contributions.

In reply, Wycombe were never up with the run rate but dug their heels in to finish on 177 for nine in 57 overs despite the efforts of Kamlesh Desai (four for 43) and Javed (three for 29).

KENTON CC

Kenton drew with Barnet Bs

SACHIN Patel's classy ton still was not enough to secure Kenton maximum points against Barnet in a high scoring clash.

The Bs declared on 279 for nine after 55 overs with M Puckett crashing 100 exactly.

But Patel went one better for Kenton, hitting 114 of his side's 226 for nine off 45 overs.

HARROW CC

Harrow lost to Southgate by seven wickets.

HARROW remain rooted to the foot of Division Two of the Middlesex County Cricket League after being put to the sword by the early leaders.

In a game reduced to a maximum of 68 overs because of the rain, Harrow were inserted first and got off to a decent start, reaching 73 for one in the 15th over.

However, three wickets fell and some tight Southgate bowling never allowed Harrow to regain their early momentum, with only Hussein (30), Quinlivan (29) and Vaghela (27) making an impression as Harrow fell for 151.

In reply, Southgate were grateful for a quickfire 35 from opener Mullazaoah and a 45 not out from captain Tom Allan.

Harrow battled hard in the field and James Romero was the pick of the bowlers once again with two for 54, but Southgate ran out comfortable winners.

HARROW ST MARY COLTS CC

Stanmore win by eight runs

HARROW St Mary's U15s continued the club's cup woes with an eight run defeat to Stanmore in the final of the North Area Cup, which was the third final on the trot since April that the Colts section have lost.

The U15s were plagued by availability issues in the early part of the season.

However, there were no excuses in the final against Stanmore, who posted a decent score of 134 for six off their 20 overs.

In reply, Kishan Karia (47) and Navin Pancharatnam (40) helped the Saints, but with 10 runs needed off the final over, HSM only scored a single run and were left an agonising eight runs short on 126 for five.

The following day small consolation was gained as a young U15s side comfortably beat Lohanna in the league.

The U13 As were convincingly beaten by Eastcote by 40 runs.

Eastcote were indebted to their opener, who scored 67 not out to set a total of 130 for six, and then he inspired them with the ball as HSM fell short on 90 for seven.
