KENSINGTON 140-10 (38.1 overs) Alleyn's 152-9 (40 overs) KCC lose by 12 runs

They've waited a month for a result after a series of abandonments, but Kensington might have just needed a drop of rain again on Sunday - despite the thrilling climax.

Set a modest total after Jon Pickles had taken 5-13, KCC failed by just 12 runs despite having another two overs to get the runs against the South London school. Only Tabrez Khan (33) and Jamie Keleher (30) posted respectable totals, while earlier Twinn for Alleyn's had racked up equally enviable figures of 5-9 as he skittled Kensington batsmen.

Chesham 205 all out (40 overs) PADDINGTON 126 all out (40 overs) Paddington lose by 79 runs

AGAINST the odds Paddington held on until the second-last ball of the match on Sunday.

Mark Saunders stonewalled his way through 23 overs to 35 when he was also out in the last over. Somewhat unsportingly, Chesham bowled two first-teamers non-stop to leave the west Londoners 69-6 at one stage until Saunders' stout resistance.
