HARROW St Mary's Colts set a new record during Sunday's clash between Middlesex U11s and Hertfordshire, with no fewer than five of their players in one or other team.
Four appeared for the Seaxe county while one played for their local rivals. Middlesex won the game, played at Merchant Taylors' School, by 157 runs. Saints stars were integral to their 213 for five total, with Kushal Patel (35) and Nikhil Rawal (33) contributing with the bat, while Deven Patel bowled a miser-ly spell of one for nine.
In the North Area cup the U11s beat Bessborough by nine wickets.
Batting first Borough scored 60 for seven from their 20 overs. Krishan Shah recorded bowling figures of two for one.In reply, Saints used the opportunity to change the batting order and reached the target inside nine overs: Andrew Thomas (29*) and Angus Prevost (15*) topped the batting charts.
In the league, Saints U11s consolidated their spot at the top of the table with a convincing 127 run victory over Ickenham.
Despite missing a couple of important players, HSM set an imposing 167 for four from their 20 overs despite some decent bowling from Ickenham. Nikhil Rawal (44), Angus Prevost (23) and Charanvir Gill (22) set the pace with the bat.
In response, HSM bowled a very tight line and restricted Ickenham to 40 for nine.
Hat-trick hero (three for nought) Krishan Shah and Kushal Patel (two for nought) were the stars with the ball, while Nikhil Rawal affected three stumpings.
Saints U13s lost in the final of the North Area Cup to Harrow by five wickets. Despite HSM setting a decent target of 107 fr six from their 20 overs with Miraj Patel (24) and Nikhil Rawal (22*) leading the way, Harrow reached the target with ease, comfortably moving to the county stages of the tournament.
Dhiren DeSilva was the pick of the Saints bowlers, taking two for 17.
