A fantastic bowling display from Harrow earned them another 10 points, moving them up to second in the table and within touching distance of leaders North Middlesex.

Entertaining another in form side, Shepherds Bush, Harrow were put into bat after losing the toss on Saturday (21).

They got off to a poor start losing opener Aslam for a duck, which was followed shortly by the loss of Karia for two.

With the score at 10 for two Harrow looked to be in deeper trouble when Vaghela was run out for eight.

Harrow's blushes were somewhat saved by a fine innings from Dave Walker, however, who produced 66, and the good support from both A Karia (34) and Mendis (28). The last wicket fell with the score on 175 from 45 overs, giving the home side a glimmer of hope and something to bowl out.

And bowl out they did.

Harrow's response with the ball was outstanding as their opening bowlers, Darren Crook and Theo Modeste, took control. Modeste's fantastic 18 over spell ripped through the visitors batting line up as he took five wickets for just 36. This was backed up well by Crook (4-36) who bowled economically throughout the innings, with eight maidens in his 23 overs.

Although the home side got off to a great start taking the first wicket with Bush having posted a mere seven, a decent partnership for the second wicket ensured 40 was on the board before another fell.

Harrow upped the tempo however, and after applying the pressure to take two quick wickets the visitors soon fell behind the run rate and managed just 118 before their final wicket was taken.

This moved Harrow into second place and with a trip to second from bottom, Acton, next week, they will be hoping to continue their run of form.

Despite an impressive 136 from Harrow 2nd XI's Graeme Overy and a fine knock from Vikash Seth (48 not out) against Enfield, their total of 247 for five was not enough as the visitors knocked off the runs losing just two wickets in the process.

Half centuries from Junior Mcketty (58), Kishan Patel (54) and Mike Kerman (53) helped earn Harrow 3s an unlikely draw with a total of 235 for 8, away at Winchmore Hill, after the home side declared on 313 for 5 .
