BOWLING ace Mukesh Bhatt wasted no time getting among the wickets in the new season, snapping up a superb 7-60 haul in Stanmore's winning draw at Brentham in a rain hit opening Middlesex County League Division One match of the season on Saturday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Brentham found runs hard to come by and crawled to 169 all out, taking 68 overs to get there.

Restricted by rain, Stanmore's reply never really got going as they received just 24 overs. But they did sufficient in that time to secure the winning draw, losing eight wickets in making 111.

This Saturday Stanmore will face Winchmore Hill at the Common.
