BESSBOROUGH U17s made easy work of Ickenham on Friday as they cruised to a comfortable 10-wicket victory.

Medium pacer Prasann Sumaria was the hero with the ball and bagged four wickets for the loss of just eight runs in a dazzling performance.

Sumaria’s 4-8 figures, along with Saahil Vora (1-5), Ashil Shah (1-10) and Shivam Patel (1-22), saw Ickenham collapse to 49 all out in just 12 overs.

In reply, Bessborough’s make-shift openers Rajan Modha (20 not out) and Vivek Patel (24 not out) never looked in danger and saw the team home in just six overs.

The victory keeps Bessborough at the top of the Middlesex Colts Association North Area U17 Division 1.

Bessborough U15s also maintained their place at the top of their league table thanks to a comfortable six-wicket win against Headstone Manor park neighbours West Harrow.

Saahil Vora (41) and Dillon Maloney (24) batted well and shared a first wicket stand of 58 in seven overs.

Rishav Shah (47 not out) was unlucky not to reach a deserved half-century but ran out of overs as Bessborough finished on 152-4 after the full 20 overs.

West Harrow did their best to keep up with the run rate with quick singles, however they paid the price with five run outs as they were dismissed for 69.

Leg-spinner Maloney was the pick of the Bessborough bowlers with a two-wicket haul.
