BESSBOROUGH U17s maintained their position at the top of the Middlesex Colts Association North Area Division 1 with a 34-run win against Eastcote on Friday.

Skipper Akshay Hirani won the toss and decided to bat first, hitting 50 in 34 balls, well supported by Kishan Karia (28) as Bessborough finished at 154-3

In reply, Eastcote lost two quick wickets and thanks to Saahal Vora (2-16), Bessborough restricted them to 120-6.

Elsewhere, Bessborough U15s A stars the Maloney brothers, Dillon and Ray, put Lohana to the sword with a match-winning 50-run partnership.

Ray followed up his half-century last week with 35 more and his elder brother smashed 82, including four sixes.

Bessborough finished on 140-4 after 20 overs that Lohana never got close to as they slumped to a 61-run loss.

And Bessborough U15s B secured a five-wicket victory away to MTSSC in the Middlesex Colts Association North Area Division 5.

Despite the U15s tag, the Borough side contained mainly U14s and even two U11s.

Bessborough openers Kunal Patel (40) and Dominic Baxter (17) put up a partnership of 57 and the total eventually reached 154-5.

Captain Dillon Popat took 2-14 but it was U11s player Kapil Kiritharan who stole the show with 5-12 in three overs as MTSSC were eventually bowled out for 107.
