Harrow St Mary's Cricket Club strengthened its links with former England and Middlesex seamer Angus Fraser at their annual awards bash on Saturday.

Fraser, who was recently appointed managing director of Middlesex CC, presented individual awards at the presentation evening, which was held at Ruislip.

The guest of honour then entertained the audience with stories of his time as a professional cricketer, a writer with a national newspaper and his hopes and ambitions in his new role with the county outfit.

Fraser, a former pupil of Gayton High School (now Harrow High), also pledged to take a coaching session with HSM's thriving Colts section.

Nishil Patel scooped two awards, winning the first team Player of the Year and Mel Bellamy Cup for claiming the most league wickets, while in the Colts Kishan Karia claimed the Chairman's Award and U13 A Player of the Year gong.

It has been a fantastic season for the club, in particular the Colts, with no less than 13 players representing their counties.
