DIVISION ONE: North Maidenhead 233-4 (12pts) drew with Harefield 137-5 (4pts)

Harefield slipped down the table to fourth place after they could only struggle to a draw with lowly North Maiden-head.

Mluleki Nkala (2-48) and Martin Webb (1-47) reduced the home side to 44 for two but HJones (96 not out) and Ricky Martin (80) put on an impressive 176 for the third wicket, helping their side to 233 for four.

Harefield then crawled to 137 for five in reply, Fraser Wilson top-scoring with 29.

DIVISION 3A: Hillingdon Manor 233-8 (15pts) drew with Amersham 193-9 (8pts)

HILLINGDON Manor produced a solid team performance against a desperately negative Amersham side to pull themselves out of the relegation places.

Openers Mandeep Sarai (35) and Dale Morris (35) made a superb start by racing to 70 inside 10 overs before Morris attempted one big shot too many.

Iain Hodgson (29) and Azim Karim (17) again looked in good touch but a middle order collapse left the Manor with plenty to do.

Veteran all-rounder Aftab Akram stepped up, hitting three huge sixes in a brilliant unbeaten 59. Adam Seymour and Justin Nicholls chipped in and Manor were able to declare at 233 for eight with two overs to go.

Unfortunately, Amersham showed little interest in chasing the total and Manor had to work hard for their wickets.

Seymour picked up two for 48 including a brilliant caught and bowled and Aftab Akram returned two for 14, while a stroke of genius from skipper Zab Akram to introduce off-spinner Grant Morris for the first time this season, was rewarded with three for 30.

Six overs remained when the last pair came together and Hillingdon threw everything at them. Nicholls came close to pulling off a run out and several edges narrowly avoided the field but Amersham escaped with a draw, although the 15 points gained took Manor two clear of Gerrards Cross with three games to go. [25a0] The second team registered a good win over Bracknell who were restricted to 203 on a perfect batting track by a brilliant spell of spin bowling from Scott Morris.

He picked up five for 67 from 21 overs with support from Chris Burles (2-28) before Justin Corbin (26) and Gulam Sherali (63) got Manor off to a flying start in reply.

A clinical unbeaten 45 from returning skipper Julian Corbin saw them over the line with five wickets and seven balls to spare. [25a0] The third XI were not so lucky as they slipped deeper into relegation trouble in Division 8B as they lost to Maidenhead & Bray.

John Paul Morrie made a steady 24 and James Smith a career best 28, but 122 was never going to be enough as the home side steamed home by seven wickets. [25a0] On Sunday Manor lost heavily to Ealing Three Bridges but picked up a good win at Kings Langley off the last ball of the game.

Chasing a massive 250, Duce brothers Stephen (109) and Stuart (59) laid the foundation and Iain Hodgson (40 not out) closed out the game, passing 1,000 runs for the season in the process.
