Youth drama group in Hounslow launched as springboard to career in the arts

Auditions for the new company begin on Saturday (May 5) at Hounslow Arts Centre

Young performers have been invited to audition for a new drama group formed to help them launch their careers.

London Contemporary Theatre - the company behind shows at Hounslow Arts Centre - is setting up a new youth company for 16 to 21-year-olds.

Successful applicants will take part in weekly workshops with industry professionals, get to use the facilities for private practice and receive free or cut-price tickets to shows at the arts centre in High Street, Hounslow .

They will also benefit from career support, including CV workshops and opportunities to get professional head shots taken and attend networking events.

Auditions will take place at Hounslow Arts Centre, upstairs at the Treaty Centre , this Saturday (March 5) at 2pm and on Tuesday, March 15 at 5pm.

The youth company, which is supported in-kind by Ashby & Ryder Theatre Management, is completely free to join.

For younger budding performers, the London Contemporary Performance Academy takes place at Hounslow Arts Centre every Saturday for those aged four to 15.
