A young man who died following a crash in Hanworth has been named as Dean Langford.

The 24-year-old, of Chessington, suffered serious head injuries in a collision with a car on Uxbridge Road , and later died in hospital.

His next of kin have been informed and officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

His devastated father Paul has spoken proudly of how the lifelong Brentford FC fan was an organ donor and has saved the lives of four other people who received his organs.

Police were called to the A312 Uxbridge Road last Monday (February 22) to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian near to the Apex Corner roundabout, at the junction with Longford Close.

A post-mortem examination established the cause of death as critical head injuries.
