A murder investigation has been launched after a young man was shot dead outside a pub near Wembley on Thursday morning (July 2).

The victim - named locally as Romario Green - died following the shooting at around 12.10am outside The Swan public house in Harrow Road, Sudbury Town.

London Ambulance Service paramedics were called but Romario, understood to be aged in his 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police said his family has been informed and no arrests have been made at this stage.

A post-mortem examination will take place at Northwick Park Hospital on Friday.

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Chalmers said: "The motive for the murder is unclear at this stage, but we are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry.

"We are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area in the early hours of this morning to contact police by calling the incident room on 020 8358 0100 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
