Police have issued CCTV and say they are "growing increasingly concerned" for the welfare of a man with dementia who has been missing for three weeks.

Leocardo Loney, 83, was last seen at around 5.35pm on Thursday August 3 by staff at his care home in Wembley, when CCTV footage shows Mr Loney leaving the home.

Since then there has only been one possible sighting of him, on a route 182 bus travelling from the Wembley area towards Brent Cross, on Tuesday (August 22).

Mr Loney has been missing for almost two weeks

Brent police have released CCTV in the hope someone may have seen him.

Mr Loney has now been missing for three weeks and his family and police are very worried about him.

He is black, about 5ft 10ins and of medium build with short grey hair.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a red baseball cap and a black jacket.

Leocardo Loney has been missing since August 3

Leocardo likes to take the bus and train and also enjoys going to the park and betting shops in the area.

He needs medication for his dementia and may be confused.

His daughter Marie Loney said: "I am extremely concerned for my father's safety. He is a frail, elderly man who suffers from dementia. He is in need of 24-hour care and requires medication."

Detective Inspector Andy Grant, from Brent CID, said: "It is now three weeks since Leocardo went missing and despite extensive enquires we have not been able to trace him.

"His family is desperate for information. Mr Loney is an elderly vulnerable man who needs regular medication and we would appeal for anyone who may be able to assist, not to hesitate, but call police immediately."

Anyone with information on his whereabouts to call Brent’s Missing Persons Unit on 101 or Missing People on 116000.
