Travellers who pitched up in a retail park car park have been served with an eviction notice by a discount store chain.

Caravans first appeared in the B&M car park at Willow Tree Lane Retail Park in Glencoe Road in Yeading , Hayes on Thursday morning (October 12).

Police were called to the retail park at 5.25pm that day to reports of individuals throwing stones at a shop and members of the public.

No arrests were made but police are continuing to make enquiries.

The following day, police attended and were informed the travellers had been served with a notice to leave the private land by 4pm on Friday (October 13).

A spokesman for B&M confirmed to getwestlondon that the company had served them with a notice but declined to comment further on the incident.

The land, near the Hillingdon border with Southall in Ealing , is private and therefore beyond Hillingdon Council's jurisdiction.
