Police are continuing to quiz a teenager about a stabbing in Hayes.

It comes as Metropolitan Police officers were called to reports of a number of men armed with knives in Yeading Lane at 10.24pm on Tuesday (June 13).

Officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service attended the scene and after searching the area, they discovered a 17-year-old boy with stab injuries in Dunedin Way.

An 18-year-old man, who took himself to hospital with minor stab injuries shortly after, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident.

On Thursday morning (June 15), a Met spokesman said the 18-year-old remains in custody and there have been no further arrests in connection with the incident.

He added the 17-year-old stab victim remains in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
