The X factor 's most controversial performer Honey G crashed out of the reality television singing contest after seven sterling weeks as the entertaining rapper who divided the audience.

Star singer, whose real name is Anna Gilford, has split the nation's opinion even after leaving the show, with fans tweeting to say the "only real talent has left" .

Despite being praised by 50 Cent and told by Simon Cowell she is his "guilty pleasure" , the rap artist did not do enough to make it to the semi-finals of the contest.

The 35-year-old's live performances enraged and enthralled the split viewers, sparking petitions calling for her to be ousted from the show, first for her singing and then over a drugs scandal .

As she progressed, she found instant fame in the press, spurring her on to inspire more female rappers after wiping out her £10,000 debt.

But as her childhood photos were released , it span the rumour mill into overdrive as many claimed Honey was a fake.

It is not all bad news from here for the Harrow hip-hop artist though, after she admitted her first single is already in the works on the X Factor's sister show, the Xtra Factor.

Following her elimination, she said: "I’d really, really like to get a record deal with Simon Cowell, I have my heart set on that.

"I know I can sell records and I’ve got the potential to go far as a rap artist. Simon's standing right there."
