Some background

Okay, just a quick break from all the delicious cakes to provide some background.

The first ever coffee morning happened back in 1990, with the idea guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan.

After a very successful first year with just a small group of people, the cancer support charity did it again the next year – only that time nationally.

Since then, coffee mornings have raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan. Amazing work!

Helping to raise money for such a worthy cause allows Macmillan to ‘make sure no one faces cancer alone’.

If you are free come along and pop by for tea, coffee, cakes and a lot more!

If you cannot attend, the group has also created a JustGiving page for donations.

The coffee morning will be in Wellington Day Centre, 292 Staines Road, Hounslow, TW4 5BA.
