A woman had to be cut from a car by firefighters after being involved in a collision in Eastcote on Thursday morning (September 1).

The two-car crash happened at around 11.52am near the junction between Elm Avenue and Field End Road.

Emergency services were called and a woman had to be freed from her car by London Fire Brigade after becoming trapped in her vehicle.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “London Fire Brigade were called because a woman was trapped in her vehicle.

“There were two vehicles involved.

“The injuries were not believed to be life threatening or life changing.”

The road had been closed in both directions following the crash but was reopened to traffic at around 1.55pm.

A nearby Ruislip road was closed after a lorry got stuck under a bridge on August 23.
