A woman will appear in court in November after BBC presenter Jeremy Vine posted a video of an altercation he had with a motorist in Kensington .

Shanique Syrena Pearson has been charged with driving without reasonable consideration to other road users, failing to licence a vehicle and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

It relates to an incident which saw the Radio 2 host and Eggheads presenter embroiled in an argument while cycling on August 26.

He later uploaded footage of the row to his Facebook page, and police made an arrest on September 2 .

The 22-year-old, from Orsett Street in Vauxhall, has been bailed to appear at Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court on November 8.

The incident happened weeks after Mr Vine was confirmed as the new host of Crimewatch alongside lesser known BBC broadcaster Tina Daheley.

The 51-year-old star has been with the BBC for more than 25 years working as a news reader and presenter, also working as a host on Points of View and Panorama.
