A woman in her 60s was hospitalised after she was hit by her own vehicle during an armed burglary in Ickenham.

The victim was attacked by four men wearing hi-vis jackets, one of whom was armed with a knife.

The gang forced their way through the front door of a property in Field Close on Friday April 7.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene in broad daylight at 3.28pm after the victim was threatened and property was stolen, including keys.

After stealing the victim's vehicle the suspects ran her over while fleeing, leaving her with head and facial injuries.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 3.28pm on Friday to reports of an aggravated burglary in Field Close.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the location and took a woman in her 60s to a west London hospital.

“Four unknown males forced entry through the front door, one of whom was armed with a knife.

“The suspects made off stealing the victim's vehicle and in order to do so drove the vehicle into the female victim, who sustained head and facial injuries.”

The vehicle was found abandoned and on fire by London Fire Brigade in Edward Road, Northolt the following day.

No arrests have been made and the attackers are described as black men, wearing hi-visibility clothing.
