Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has launched a social media competition to win special edition posters signed by a world-renowned illustrator.

The drawings which capture the vibrancy of the capital including Notting Hill dancers and street performers as well as iconic landmarks such as Big Ben and The Shard, were created by London artist Sir Quentin Blake for the 'London is Open for Summer' campaign.

Now 20 people have the chance to win an exclusive signed poster by telling Sadiq Khan 'What did you love about London this summer?'.

The official artwork went on sale on Tuesday (September 5) at the London Transport Museum and Museum of London at £10, with all profits from sales donated to the Red Cross UK Solidarity Fund - supporting victims of terror attacks in the UK.

Mr Khan said: “Sir Quentin Blake’s illustration has really captured the imagination of Londoners and visitors to our great city, and brought London’s diversity and excitement to life.

"I’m delighted that we can spread the message even further by giving away these highly-coveted prints and by putting these unique posters up for sale, with the profits going towards the fantastic work of the Red Cross UK Solidarity Fund.

“I have been saying loud and clear - London is open for business, creativity, ideas and open to everyone – and this poster and the way people have responded to it captures that spirit perfectly.”

The #LondonIsOpen campaign was launched to tell the world following Brexit London remains united and open to all.
