It is winter and a newly minted tin soldier stands on a single leg, having been the last one cast from an old tin spoon. Nearby, he spies a paper ballerina, also standing on one leg, and the soldier falls in love.

But the course of true love cannot run smooth and the soldier falls into an adventure to test and melt the bravest of hearts...

See a brilliant production of Shakespeare's The Tempest

The Tempest at Orange Tree Theatre

See a production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest specifically for young people with autism and their families.

Fifteen children on the spectrum will become the participants for each performance, sitting with six actors in a circle on the floor, representing Prospero's island.

The famous story will unfold through sensory games, which the children and actors play together.

The run will be from three to nine miles, and will see fundraisers sprayed with ghastly colour as they walk, jog or run through monstrous "colour stations".
