The MP for West Drayton has said he would work with police to tackle "increasing concerns about knife crime" after two teens were stabbed near Summer Drive on Saturday night (Feburary 4).

A 13-year-old and 19-year-old were both rushed to hospital following the incident.

Police say they were called to Summer Drive at 11.05pm.

They found a 13-year-old injured at Summer Drive and a 19-year-old at Thornton Close.

They were taken to a London hospital, with their injuries not thought to be life threatening.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 11pm and found two teenagers suffering from stab wounds.

Their injuries were not believed to be life threatening, according to the Metropolitan Police.

MP for West Drayton, John McDonnell, said he will be working with the police to assist their investigation.

Mr McDonnell said: “This is an extremely worrying development.

“Alongside the community we will all be working with the police to assist them in their enquiries and to tackle our increasing concerns about knife violence.”

Roads were taped off until Sunday afternoon and there was an increased police presence in the area.

One person described seeing a pool of blood on the road after the incident.

They said: “We're just all in complete shock. Nothing like this occurs here.

“There's a high police presence. Everywhere is taped off and cordoned off.”
