Motorists in Wembley are stuck in heavy queues following a collision.

The A404 High Road is blocked in both directions following the crash at St John's Road.

Metropolitan police has so far said there was a collision between a motorbike and a female pedestrian.

Getwestlondon has requested more information.

According to Google Traffic, there is heavy traffic on the A404 High Road.

Metropolitan police said it was a motorcycle which was in collision with a pedestrian, not a car as officers earlier said.

Police say woman suffered head injuries

A Met police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 14:15hrs on Thursday, 11 May to High Road in Wembley following reports of a car in collision with a female pedestrian.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

“The woman has been taken to a central London hospital; her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The road remains closed.”
