The £8billion redevelopment of Earls Court will "revive the local area" and bring huge benefits in terms of jobs and homes, according to the leader of Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

Tory councillor Nick Botterill, said: "Work to redevelop the Earls Court area will revive the local area, including the West Kensington Estate, providing thousands of jobs and new homes along with £452million in community benefits.

The huge 77 acre development will be made possible by the demolition of the Earls Court exhibition centres and existing homes, but critics have called it monstrous and likened it to 'social cleansing'. What do you think?
