After experiencing a chilly weekend last week , with temperatures plummeting to below zero , this weekend is looking slightly warmer , but certainly not as sunny.

Get your umbrella at the ready if you are heading out as rain is in the forecast.

On the plus side, it will be much warmer with highs of around 8°C and lows of 4°C, significantly higher than -6.2°C recorded in Northolt on Sunday January 22.

For Saturday January 28, the Met Office forecast says: "Rain will clear during the morning to give a brighter, drier afternoon, but with some showers later.

"A slight ground frost may return overnight. "

The Met Office also forecast light winds inland.

On social media website, Twitter, the forecaster said: "the weather is on the change."

And it does not look like that rain will be letting up, as cloud and rain is forecast for Sunday January 29 and into the start of next week.

In London, we will be experiencing temperatures of up to 9°C towards the end of the weekend.

Our advice? Unless you are willing to brave the weather, stay indoors and put the kettle on!
