The weather for Friday February 24 is certainly the calm after the storm, as the capital enjoys a fine day with plenty of sunny spells.
However, this will not last as we move into Friday evening, the Met Office forecast the cloud to thicken, with a few outbreaks of rain possible and an unsettled weekend ahead with both warm and cold air coming in from the Atlantic.
The Met Office forecast for Saturday, February 25 says: "A largely dry, but cloudy day, although a few outbreaks of rain or drizzle are likely.
"It will stay breezy and mild, with only limited brighter spells possible."
On Sunday February 26, these outbreaks of rain are forecast to clear away, leaving a windy day with brighter spells.
It will be feeling quite mild over the weekend, with highs of 12°C forecast on Sunday.
So after taking shelter from the storm on Thursday, this weekend, our advice is to get outside and enjoy the occasional bright spells.
Do not forget though to take an umbrella with you, to avoid getting caught out by those outbreaks of rain.
