We're in for more hot and humid (and sleepless) nights as the warmer weather continues this week.

The glorious sunshine continues from the weekend into Monday (June 19) with long sunny spells, and temperatures hitting 32 °C.

It will remain dry through the evening and overnight too, with the Met Office describing the temperature as "uncomfortably warm and humid in urban areas".

Tuesday (June 20) will also stay dry and warm, become hot once again with temperatures close to those of Monday.

It will be another hot and humid day on Wednesday (June 21) with some heavy, possibly thundery showers developing.

Thursday (June 22) is also expected to be very warm with sunshine and scattered showers, al though it will be breezier and much fresher by Friday (June 23).
