The humidity in London may carry on a bit longer as, despite storms being predicted for parts of the UK, the capital may just miss out.

Londoners who decided to take their umbrellas to work can't be blamed as earlier in the week the Met Office issued a yellow warning of rain and also forecast storms and hail across our area.

While the warning came into force at 6am on Thursday (July 6) for much of south east England, rain in the capital hasn't been predicted.

According to The Weather Channel, this is how the forecast in London looks set to unfold over the rest of the day on Thursday.

Hourly weather forecast

2pm - Cloudy across London (26 degrees)

3pm - Sunny intervals are expected among the clouds (26)

4pm - Prime time to catch some sun if you're not stuck in the office (27)

5pm - Clouds are due to return but there will still be intervals of sun (27)

6pm - Cloudy in the capital (27)

7pm - Sunny intervals (27)

8pm - Cloudy with outbreaks of sun (27)

9pm - Sunny intervals (26)

10pm onwards - A clear night is expected in the capital with temperatures dropping to 23 degrees.
