Firefighters attended a blaze at Bedfont Lakes in Feltham after a grass fire broke out on Thursday evening (September 1).

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to Dudley Road in Feltham, near Bedfont Lakes, at around 7pm to reports of grass alight.

One fire engine from Feltham Fire Station attended the blaze, which took around an hour and 20 minutes to bring under control. The fire brigade had extinguished the fire by approximately 8.20pm.

Footage and photographs taken at the scene by Andy Blackwell/ @apblackwell shows firefighters attending to the blaze.

He said: "Great teamwork by LFB at Feltham."

The blaze by Bedfont Lakes is the latest in a large amount of fires at grasslands in Hounslow this month.

Paul Taylor, chairman of the Friends of Hounslow Heath, said it should serve as a warning for visitors to take care.

He said: "Barbecues are banned on the heath and smokers should take care to ensure their cigarettes are properly extinguished."
