A time-travelling family is needed for the follow-up to the hit BBC2 show Back in Time for Dinner.

Participants will be transported back to the first half of the 20th century for the TV series, immersing themselves in history as they experience how we lived back then.

The programme's maker Wall to Wall Television is particularly keen to hear from families in the West Drayton and Harefield and wider west London area, as this is where the bulk filming is due to take place.

The modern day family will take a journey through the decades from the 1900s to 1950, experiencing first hand the changing diets, fashions and technology as they live through each era in a typical house of that period.

They will get to venture out to cocktail bars, famous restaurants, tea houses and work canteens, all of which are unchanged from how they would have been then.

Although the exact locations are still being finalised ahead of filming this summer, the maker has promised the chance to visit some "truly amazing" places.

The previous series, Back In Time For Dinner and Back In Time For The Weekend, were among the top-rated factual shows on BBC2, pulling in an average of three million viewers each week.

Wall to Wall is looking for families with at least two children aged eight and above who are available to film over the summer holidays this year.

Interested families have been asked to email backintime@walltowall.co.uk, ideally with some photos, their number and a few details about themselves.
