Two teenagers were stabbed in front of commuters during a rush hour attack near Victoria Station .

Police confirmed today (Wednesday March 8) that the boys, both aged 15, had stab injuries which are not believed to be major.

The incident happened around 4.20pm on Wilton Road on Tuesday (March 7) leading to an investigation being launched into the double stabbing.

Pictures showed a large police presence and footage revealed the cordon put up by the emergency services and the aftermath of the incident.

The attack resulted in the closure of the busy Wilton Road northbound at the junction of Victoria Station at the height of the evening rush hour.

It did not reopen for several hours, with Transport for London (TfL) warning motorists of delays in the area, and buses running on diversion.

The two injured teenagers were taken by ambulance to a central London hospital for treatment.

The Met said on Wednesday (March 8) that the injuries sustained are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

Police say there have no arrests, and investigations continue.

The Met Police statement said: "Police were called at around 4.20pm on Tuesday to reports of a stabbing in Wilton Road, Victoria.

"Officers and paramedics attended and found two boys, both aged 15, with stab injuries.

"They were taken to a central London hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

"There have been no arrests and inquiries continue."
